Who is Rowan?
“When someone goes on to an about me page what are you looking for when clicking on this page?”
I asked that exact question to a colleague of mine and it was because I wanted to please the readers.
Hi, My name is Rowan and I am a professional people pleaser. It sounds ridiculous but it’s true. I hate being late, and especially hate making others late due to their reliance of my actions.
The thought of wasting my own time is annoying but the thought of wasting someone else’s time terrifies me.
I carry this ideology into my real estate career. On the first ever showing I had ever done, I bugged my broker and an agent I was close with about 30 times before the showing, and another 10 afterwards.
Alongside my fear of being inconvenient, I have a deep fear of being incompetent.
I don’t mind being the dumbest person in the room, IF the intention is to learn. But in a setting where I am the professional and advocating for a certain outcome to occur, I don’t want to be incompetent.

Life Outside of the Industry
There really isn’t one… LOL
They say the real estate brain doesn’t turn off and its true. It’s not like a 9-5 where you clock out and not have to worry about work until the next morning.
It never stops, but there are things that I do that are just completely unrelated to my career.
I’m competitive inside and outside of the real estate industry, and that is no different when I play and coach volleyball.
I’ve had the pleasure coaching 16u-17u boys volleyball in the last few years and OH MY does it teach you patience. It truly is a great experience and it allows me to take a second away from the industry and give back to the youth sports community that I grew up in.
